I had an exciting day yesterday.
I went along to a presentation at Magna Radio, Lincolnshire’s newest radio station. They have only been on air since 1 February this year and you can already feel the buzz around what they are building for local listeners and businesses.
Somewhere between the studio tour, the ideas session and a very persuasive sales pitch, I might have signed RBM HR Services up for some radio advertising!
RBM HR Services is going on air
Yes, you will be hearing the RBM HR Services jingle on the radio very soon.
This is a big step for a small, local HR consultancy and I am genuinely excited about it. So much of my work is one to one and referral based. Radio is a new way to:
- Reach more local employers who might need HR support but do not know where to start.
- Raise awareness that there is a straight talking, practical HR consultancy right here in Lincolnshire.
- Remind existing clients that help is only a call or email away when people issues crop up.
Working with the creative team on the advert
Now the fun really begins. I will be working with the creative team at Magna Radio to shape the advert and make sure it sounds like RBM HR Services.
That means:
- Clear, friendly language that sounds like a real person, not a script.
- A focus on real problems, such as sickness, performance, tricky conversations or keeping up with employment law.
- An invite to get in touch before issues escalate, not after.
It is all about forward planning at HR HQ so that when the advert goes live, it does exactly what we need it to do.
Why try radio advertising?
Clients often ask me how to get in front of the right people and how to build trust. This felt like a good time to take my own advice and diversify how people hear about RBM HR Services.
Radio advertising can:
- Reinforce the local nature of the service.
- Keep the RBM HR Services name in mind for owners and managers on the move.
- Support other marketing activity on the website and social media.
